Spanish-Speaking NGO focused on high-impact careers in priority areas, including Effective Altruism, Longtermism, and Existential Risk.

Scope:

  • We are aiming to grow the Effective Altruism movement internationally, with a specific focus on building the Spanish-speaking community. This community is still relatively small compared to the English-speaking community, so there is a lot of potential for growth.

Responsibilities and Achievements:

  • Attending Global Summits on Effective Altruism and related topics, such as Effective Altruism Global London (2021, 2022), EAGxOxford (2022), EAGxPrague (2022), EA Student Summit (2020), and the Global Transhumanism Summit (2021).

  • Writing OP-ed content on Effective Altruism for websites. Topics include Effective Altruism, Longtermism, Existential Risk, Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, Bioengineering and Transhumanism, Climate Change, Animal Welfare, Economic and Social Development, Cosmopolitanism and International Politics, Social Media and Fake News.

  • Administrative tasks, fundraising, and recruiting.

Responsibilities and Achievements:

  • Composed Memorandums of Understanding for over 20 Universities and Public Institutions.

  • Assisted the Program Lead for the Bioethics, Humanities and Philosophy UNESCO program for Latin America with tasks such as producing documents, emailing, and calling other institutions.
